PieApps ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the LifeMirror mobile application (the "App").
By accessing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the application.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App includes:
A. Personal Data
When you create an account, we may collect personally identifiable information, such as:
- Email address
- Authentication details (e.g., passwords, managed securely via Firebase Authentication)
- Profile information
B. Device and Usage Data
To provide core functionality, the App requests specific device permissions. We collect and process the following data:
- App Usage Data (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): To provide the Automatic App Tracking feature, LifeMirror requires Usage Access permission. When this feature is enabled, LifeMirror detects which application is currently active on your screen to automatically manage your activity timers. This usage data is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit your app usage history to our servers or share it with any third parties. If you enable Cloud Backup, your aggregated session data (which may include the names of apps you have tracked) is securely synced to your account.
- Physical Activity Data (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION): We use device sensors to automatically detect physical activities (like walking or sitting) to trigger context-aware rhythms.
- Phone State Data (READ_PHONE_STATE): To provide the Automatic Call Tracking feature, LifeMirror requires permission to access the phone state. This allows the app to detect when a phone call begins and ends so it can automatically track the duration of your calls. LifeMirror does not collect, access, store, or transmit any phone numbers, call logs, or the content of your conversations.
- Analytics and Crash Logs: We collect anonymized usage data and crash reports to improve the App's stability and performance.
C. User-Generated Content
- Timers, subtag tracking, and rhythm data you create are stored locally on your device and securely synchronized to the cloud (if you are signed into an account) for backup and cross-device functionality.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
- Enable core automation features (like triggering a rhythm based on app usage or physical activity).
- Manage your account, cloud backups, and subscriptions.
- Improve our application, develop new features, and analyze user behavior.
- Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. We may share information in the following situations:
- Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf (e.g., Firebase for cloud synchronization, database storage, and authentication; Google Play Billing for subscriptions).
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or subpoena, or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law.
5. Security of Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You can request to delete your account and associated cloud data at any time through the following methods:
- In-App: Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Web/Email Request: If you no longer have the app installed, you can request account and data deletion by emailing us at vrpieapps@gmail.com. Please use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and provide the email address associated with your account.
Once requested, your personal data will be permanently removed from our active databases within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
